Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating team efforts, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. This position demands excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership capabilities and a strategic mindset to help guide projects to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and definition of project scope and objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and resource availability.
  • Coordinate and communicate project tasks and status updates with team members.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation for tracking and review purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost tracking.
  • Monitor project progress and implement necessary adjustments as required.
  • Facilitate meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and project management best practices.
  • Support risk management by identifying potential issues and developing mitigation plans.
  • Provide project managers with assistance in scheduling and task prioritization.
  • Utilize project management software tools to streamline project processes efficiently.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members in project management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in project management or related role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify project issues.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or similar tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines promptly.
  • Certifications like PMP, CAPM, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
