The Application Security Architect is an integral part of our cybersecurity team, dedicated to ensuring that our applications are secure and resilient against threats. This role requires a deep understanding of application security principles, risk management, and the latest technological trends in security threats and mitigation. The Application Security Architect will work closely with development teams, IT, and business stakeholders to integrate security into the software development lifecycle. This position is not only about protecting our digital assets but also about guiding the organization to adopt a culture of security-first thinking. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and an effective communicator who can translate complex security concepts into actionable recommendations. Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust application security architectures for new and existing software.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security requirements into application design.
• Conduct security assessments and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Develop security standards, guidelines, and procedures to improve application security posture.
• Provide security expertise during the software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
• Educate and train software developers on secure coding practices and application security concepts.
• Monitor and evaluate application security tools and technologies to enhance security measures.
• Analyze security alerts and incidents to assess severity and impact on applications.
• Lead efforts in threat modeling and risk assessment for critical applications.
• Engage with stakeholders to develop security strategies that align with business goals.
• Document and maintain security policies and procedures for application security programs.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and industry best practices to inform security strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security architecture and design.
• Strong understanding of security principles across web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in threat modeling, risk assessment, and security analysis techniques.
• Experience with security tools such as static and dynamic analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to convey complex security concepts.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CSSLP would be an advantage.
