Job Description

An Accounts Receivable Executive plays a crucial role in managing an organization's finances by overseeing the billing process, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. The executive will work closely with the accounting department and sales team to resolve billing issues and improve cash flow. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and be adept at using financial software to process transactions. In this position, one must also exhibit the ability to strategize and implement policies for improved debt recovery.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the full accounts receivable process efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure timely invoicing for services rendered and products delivered to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and prepare detailed financial reports regularly.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and proactively identify potential risks.
  • Coordinate with clients to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payments are received.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to optimize the accounts receivable process.
  • Implement and monitor effective receivable collection procedures and strategies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts and propose methods for increasing collection rates.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to clarify information and ensure satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports detailing accounts for management review and strategic planning.
  • Utilize accounting software to automate processes and improve accuracy in reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in an accounts receivable role is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to financial detail.
  • Capacity to handle confidential financial information discreetly and responsibly.
  • Ability to adapt to new financial technologies and tools as they become available.
