Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies that meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to select the right assortment of products.
  • Analyze sales trends and customer data to forecast future merchandising needs.
  • Create visually appealing product displays to attract customers to the store.
  • Ensure merchandise is presented according to the brand's aesthetic and guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain to replenish stock efficiently.
  • Adjust pricing as necessary in response to market changes and competitor pricing.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to train staff on product knowledge and display standards.
  • Evaluate store layouts regularly to improve the customer shopping experience.
  • Generate reports on sales and inventory performance for management reviews.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to innovate merchandising techniques and processes.
  • Assist in developing marketing campaigns to enhance product visibility in store.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Merchandising Specialist or in a similar retail position.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze data and forecast future product needs.
  • Creative flair and up-to-date knowledge of visual merchandising trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software.
