Job Description

The Counter Sales Executive is a critical role within our retail environment, responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the sales counter. This position involves direct interaction with customers to process transactions, manage payments, and handle product inquiries. The ideal candidate will be sales-oriented, customer-focused, and possess a solid understanding of the products and services offered. As a Counter Sales Executive, you are expected to be the face of our company, ensuring that customer satisfaction is maintained and sales targets are met. This role also requires good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure the smooth operation of the sales counter and contribute to the overall success of the store.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers promptly at the sales counter to provide excellent service.
  • Process customer transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Manage point-of-sale terminals, ensuring they are correctly operated and maintained.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about products and services with comprehensive knowledge.
  • Maintain the display and presentation standards of the sales counter area.
  • Help in stocking shelves and ensuring inventory availability for displayed items.
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliation of sales and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Assist customers in understanding product features, advantages, and warranties.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and store objectives.
  • Follow company policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with retail standards.
  • Participate in sales training and team meetings to improve sales performance.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products to enhance sales.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
  • Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Capability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
