Job Description

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in any organization by bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. They help guide businesses in improving processes, services, software, and products by analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation. They play a pivotal role in bringing business objectives to fruition, often acting as a liaison among stakeholders to ensure business needs are understood and met. Business Analysts are skilled in both business and technology and communicate complex results in a simplified manner. They contribute significantly to successful business strategy and decision-making.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and technical requirements to develop actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and challenges.
  • Create detailed reports and documentation on business processes and project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders on timelines and budget implications.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather detailed business requirements and translate these into functional specifications.
  • Coordinate with IT professionals to implement business solutions efficiently.
  • Perform data mining and analysis to inform business decisions and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain models, diagrams, and prototypes to show current and proposed processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement in existing business processes and recommend alterations.
  • Assist in quality assurance and ensure that deliverables meet user requirements and standards.
  • Prepare analyses and presentations that outline findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Work with project teams to plan, implement, and evaluate solutions against set goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in business analysis or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of business process modeling techniques and methods.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to deliver insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
