Job Description

A Retail Sales Executive plays a crucial role in our retail establishment by driving sales and ensuring excellent customer service. This dynamic role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and helping them with their purchases. The Retail Sales Executive is responsible for maintaining an inviting and organized sales floor and additionally helps in managing inventory levels. This position demands a customer-focused approach, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about sales and passionate about delivering a top-notch shopping experience to our customers. They must also adapt to a fast-paced environment and respond efficiently to customer queries and concerns to promote customer loyalty.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences effectively.
  • Assist customers in locating products and provide guidance on product selection.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to accurately answer customer inquiries.
  • Facilitate effective checkout processes, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, initiating reorder requests when necessary.
  • Participate in organizing and arranging merchandise displays for aesthetic appeal.
  • Ensure the store is clean, orderly, and visually appealing to attract customers.
  • Process returns and handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve overall team sales goals.
  • Stay updated with current retail promotions to provide information to customers.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures as directed by store management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer service role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional education preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
  • Strong ability to understand and address customer shopping behavior.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale software and basic computer operations.
  • Competent problem-solving skills to satisfactorily resolve customer issues.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
