Job Description

We are seeking a professional and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our dynamic team and lead our front-of-house operations. As a Restaurant Captain, you will be the key point of contact for our guests and will ensure that they experience the highest standard of service. You will take the lead in managing the dining area, guiding the service staff, and ensuring that all guest needs are met with efficiency and courtesy. Your main aim will be to deliver an exceptional dining experience that will keep guests coming back for more. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep passion for the hospitality industry.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of operations in the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and supervise waitstaff to uphold restaurant service standards consistently.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries or complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Train, mentor, and provide feedback to service staff to enhance performance.
  • Ensure the dining area is clean, well-organized, and properly set for service.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Assist guests by providing menu recommendations and insight into daily specials.
  • Compile reports on team performance and guest feedback for management review.
  • Monitor inventory and supplies to ensure continuous availability during service.
  • Implement safety and hygiene policies to provide a safe dining environment.
  • Hold regular briefings with team members to update them on new policies or changes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills for effective guest service.
  • Sound knowledge of restaurant operations and service standard practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess a professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
