Job Description

As a Public Relations Officer, you will serve as the vital link between our organization and the public. You will utilize your communication skills to create and maintain a positive image and manage the dissemination of information on behalf of the company. Your primary goal is to handle all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities. In this role, you will coordinate various public relations activities to promote our organization, engage with media personnel, and handle all press-related activities. Working closely with other departments, you will ensure that unified and cohesive messaging is delivered, aligning with our organizational goals and values. This role requires you to be highly organized, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance company image.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.
  • Write and distribute press releases, speeches, and relevant company literature.
  • Handle inquiries from media, individuals, and other organizations promptly.
  • Organize and manage public events to increase community outreach and engagement.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare analysis reports for upper management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging with organizational goals.
  • Maintain the company’s brand voice across all communications and platforms.
  • Respond to crises and sensitive issues in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives and sponsorships effectively.
  • Pitch stories involving company initiatives to relevant media outlets proactively.
  • Oversee and manage the content for the company’s website and social media.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with consistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in crafting and pitching press releases and media content effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools.
  • Demonstrated crisis management skills and experience with reputation management.
