Job Description

A Payroll Executive is a crucial part of the finance and human resources departments, tasked with managing and overseeing the company's payroll processes. This role involves ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and timely, according to labor laws and organizational policies. Payroll Executives are responsible for keeping precise records, implementing payroll procedures, and handling any discrepancies that may arise. They are also required to keep up with changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments to remain compliant. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's payroll procedures and ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Maintain and update payroll operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee payroll records with high levels of confidentiality and security.
  • Coordinate with HR departments to ensure alignment between payroll and benefit-related matters.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll calculations and records.
  • Prepare and submit necessary payroll tax payments and required reports on time.
  • Review and report on payroll expenses, ensuring budgetary alignment and efficiency.
  • Implement improvements to payroll systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy in payments through approving payroll transactions and reports.
  • Provide payroll information to employees and handle inquiries or issues raised.
  • Coordinate with finance department to reconcile monthly payroll costs and expenditures.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and best practices to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Executive or similar payroll management role.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and payroll regulations is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
