Job Description

The Payroll Executive is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. As a Payroll Executive, you will manage the payroll operations, ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, and provide data-driven insights to enhance payroll functions. This position requires an individual with a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. You will work closely with the finance department, HR, and various stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure a seamless payroll system. Your role is crucial in maintaining employee satisfaction by ensuring that all payroll transactions are executed seamlessly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation, execution, and administration of payroll services.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll tax laws and regulations at all levels.
  • Coordinate and process monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports accurately.
  • Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure their confidentiality at all times.
  • Conduct audits to ensure payroll data integrity and compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with HR for onboarding and offboarding employee payroll setup.
  • Implement improvements to payroll processes and systems for efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with department heads regarding payroll changes and updates.
  • Analyze payroll data to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare documentation and assist during external audits related to payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of paychecks and direct deposits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, including federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
