Job Description

As a Medical Representative, you will play an essential role in promoting and selling healthcare products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and medical technicians. Your primary objective will be to increase the awareness and usage of the products you represent in your assigned territory. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions that benefit both the healthcare providers and the patients they serve. In this role, you must possess strong communication and negotiation skills and have the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and effectively. Additionally, staying updated with the latest medical developments and industry trends will be crucial to your success.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct regular visits to physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers to promote products.
  • Provide product demonstrations and answer inquiries regarding product benefits and potential side effects.
  • Analyze sales data to identify market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Organize and attend medical conferences and symposiums to promote company products.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create effective promotional strategies and campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to healthcare providers on new and existing products.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legislation pertaining to pharmaceutical sales.
  • Identify and report on competitors' products and sales activities within the territory.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and client communication activities.
  • Participate in ongoing medical and sales training programs to stay informed of industry developments.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field required.
  • Proven track record of successful pharmaceutical sales or related experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to understand and convey complex medical information to a diverse audience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with healthcare professionals and attend events.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position.
  • Persistent and highly motivated with a strong commitment to achieving sales goals.
