Job Description

A Key Account Manager plays a vital role in maintaining and strengthening relationships with the company’s most valuable clients. They are responsible for generating sales growth by ensuring key accounts are satisfied and well-served, providing exceptional service, and aligning client’s needs with the company's offerings. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills to manage the expectations of key accounts and ensure they receive exceptional service. The Key Account Manager collaborates cross-functionally to advocate for the client’s needs and drive strategic initiatives that will result in increased business opportunities with important clients. The role requires attention to detail, a deep understanding of each client’s business, and the ability to foster and maintain long-term relationships while delivering solutions that drive client satisfaction and loyalty.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with assigned key accounts to drive business growth.
  • Work closely with clients to identify business needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Act as the point of contact between key clients and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop strategic account plans tailored to each client’s objectives and business goals.
  • Monitor account performance and develop data-driven strategies to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the resolution of client issues and problems, leveraging appropriate internal resources.
  • Prepare reports on account progress, goals achievement, and forecasts for account teams.
  • Deliver regular presentations on business performance and development strategies to clients.
  • Engage in professional networking to maximize influence and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with sales and product marketing teams to ensure alignment in account management.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and client satisfaction.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to drive additional revenue within existing key accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is essential.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in key account management, sales, or relevant position.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and interactions successfully.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are mandatory.
  • Capacity to form and foster long-lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
