Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of complex technical systems and machinery at client locations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repair of equipment. You will be expected to diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of system issues and work collaboratively with engineering teams to implement solutions. Your ability to adapt to new technology, provide technical support, and maintain excellent customer relationships is essential. This role often involves traveling to different sites, ensuring that client needs are prioritized, and equipment downtime is minimized.


Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and provide accurate solutions to restore full functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop effective and efficient problem-solving methods.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all completed tasks and services provided.
  • Train and support customers on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Manage inventory of service parts and supplies to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Execute preventative maintenance visits to avoid machinery downtime and increase reliability.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers whenever issues arise.
  • Travel extensively to various client sites to perform service duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field service engineering role.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while on the field.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software specific to the industry.
