Job Description

As a Construction Manager at our dynamic and growing company, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. This includes liaising with architects and engineers to determine the specifications of the project, negotiating contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to reach profitable agreements, and ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You'll also be responsible for managing and leading the construction team through all phases of the construction process, ensuring that the project is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, a firm understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all construction project activities from start to finish.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project objectives.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Manage construction staff and supervision of contractors and sub-contractors on-site.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and building specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress and challenges regularly.
  • Maintains project administration processes according to company standards and guidelines.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays.
  • Ensure all legal requirements, building, and safety codes, and other regulations are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related roles.
  • Proficient in project management software and construction management tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and processes in various disciplines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-paced construction project environment successfully.
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource management software is required.
