Job Description

A Banking Operations Associate plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of banking transactions and operations. As an integral part of the banking team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including account management, transaction processing, and customer support. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You will serve as a liaison between different departments, providing essential support to ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies. Responsibilities

  • Process daily transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and fund transfers accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of banking operations and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with other banking departments to facilitate smooth operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and account information.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Support the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor transaction risks and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance banking operations.
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports to identify trends and optimize processes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff or new hires on banking operations tasks.
  • Coordinate with IT for any system-related operational issues or updates needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in banking operations or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
