Job Description

As an Accountant specializing in Receivables, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions and ensuring the efficiency of the accounts receivable function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices while ensuring timely receipt of payments. Your role will involve collaborating with different departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and enhance cash flow processes. You're expected to maintain a high standard of accuracy and efficiency in managing accounting and financial tasks. Your analytical skills will be important in examining and resolving financial discrepancies and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the accounts receivable process to ensure timely payment from clients.
  • Process invoices and transactions accurately to maintain correct financial records.
  • Verify and reconcile accounts to ensure all financial data is accurate and compliant.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to receivables.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline procedures and improve cash flow operations.
  • Analyze accounts receivable data to provide reports and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with established financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop strategies to reduce aged debts and improve overall receivable turnover.
  • Handle any necessary adjustments to accounts and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Liaise with the audit team to support audits and provide necessary documentation and data.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in accounts receivable processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in managing financial records.
  • Effective communication skills to resolve accounting issues and liaise with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a financial team.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
