Job Description

A Senior Structural Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and durability of various structures, ranging from large-scale commercial buildings to intricate infrastructure projects. This position demands advanced technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of industry standards and practices. The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for leading a team in the conceptualization, planning, and execution of engineering designs while considering the economic and environmental impacts. Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of complex engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and construction teams to ensure design feasibility.
  • Develop detailed engineering plans, calculations, and specifications for projects.
  • Oversee and review the work of junior engineers and design staff.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments to evaluate conditions.
  • Participate in project meetings and present engineering concepts to clients.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to resolve engineering-related issues.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively for successful outcomes.
  • Continuously update knowledge on new technologies and best practices in structural engineering.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentations for project tracking and auditing purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering practice.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and STAAD.Pro.
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design according to regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and risk management.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Capability to conduct structural site inspections and safety assessments.
  • Understanding of construction industry processes and project management frameworks.
