Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ conditions during surgery and report any changes to the surgeon.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring they are informed and comfortable with the procedure.
• Assist in the setup and operation of surgical equipment and instruments.
• Educate patients and families on pre and post-operative care procedures and expectations.
• Maintain sterile environments and ensure all surgical procedures meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document patient information, including medical history and treatment plans accurately.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with nursing practices.
• Manage medical supplies and inventory, ensuring availability for surgical procedures.
• Conduct follow-up assessments and evaluations to determine recovery progress post-surgery.
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the medical team to facilitate communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two years of experience in surgical or aesthetic nursing.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, protocols, and patient safety measures.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong patient-centered focus.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
