Responsibilities

• Design and develop new wooden furniture products from concept to completion.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to explore innovative design solutions for products.
• Create detailed sketches, models, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with cost constraints.
• Select appropriate materials and finishes that enhance both aesthetics and functionality.
• Test and refine prototypes to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and durability.
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications for handoff to manufacturing partners.
• Participate in design reviews and gather feedback to improve future product iterations.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments to integrate new ideas into designs.
• Manage multiple design projects, meeting deadlines and quality expectations consistently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or related field.
• Proven experience in designing wooden furniture, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Excellent knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino.
• Strong understanding of production processes in the furniture industry.
• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate design ideas effectively.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials is a plus.
