Job Description

A Quality Supervisor is a vital member of any manufacturing or production team, tasked with overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure products meet set standards and regulations. They are responsible for implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits, and leading a team of quality inspectors and analysts. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of production processes. A Quality Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the company's products consistently exceed client and regulatory expectations. In addition to ensuring quality standards, they are also responsible for training team members, preparing reports, and recommending improvements to quality processes. This role may require collaboration with other departments to resolve quality issues and improve product designs.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the quality inspection process to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of current quality control procedures.
  • Ensure all team members are well-trained in quality assurance methods and protocols.
  • Analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations to solve quality issues and implement solutions.
  • Develop and update quality assurance documentation, such as procedures and inspection instructions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement quality improvements and address any concerns.
  • Communicate quality issues and performance metrics to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Maintain records of inspections and prepare detailed reports for audit purposes.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials meet quality standards before entering production.
  • Facilitate meetings to discuss quality issues and training initiatives with staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety standards in all quality assurance practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a quality assurance or related supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of professionals.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods for quality control purposes.
  • Capability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting.
