Job Description

The Purchase Executive is a critical role within an organization, responsible for managing procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and inventory management. This role demands excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills to ensure that the company acquires goods and services at the best possible prices without compromising on quality. The Purchase Executive will work closely with multiple departments to identify purchasing needs and develop procurement strategies. They will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and minimizing procurement costs. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods and services required for the company's operations.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier research and evaluation to identify potential procurement opportunities.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors and suppliers effectively.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Review and analyze purchasing requisitions and adjust orders as needed.
  • Resolve any issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery with suppliers promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in procurement.
  • Maintain strong and effective supplier relationships to facilitate business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage procurement planning.
  • Prepare procurement reports, including cost analysis and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Stay updated on market trends and advancements in purchasing technology and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage large sets of data efficiently.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with attention to detail.
