Responsibilities

  • Evaluate supplier options, and negotiate prices and contracts for optimal terms.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities align with company policies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with different departments to identify and forecast procurement needs.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary to avoid inventory shortages.
  • Prepare purchase reports and maintain records of purchased goods and services.
  • Resolve any conflicts or discrepancies arising from procurement transactions.
  • Stay informed about changes or trends affecting the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy before placing them.
  • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews to assess reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines effectively.
