Job Description

The Procurement Specialist 30J25 is a critical role dedicated to managing and optimizing the procurement processes of an organization. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing goods and services at the best possible terms for the company. You will analyze market trends, negotiate terms, and establish reliable relationships with suppliers to ensure the seamless procurement of high-quality resources. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. You will not only manage supplier contracts and assess vendor performance but also collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends to identify suppliers that provide the best value.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements and contracts with suppliers effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for cost savings.
  • Evaluate vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and align procurement strategies.
  • Maintain and update procurement records and related documentation regularly.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Resolve any supplier issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Prepare procurement reports for management to track spending and savings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies in procurement processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in the development of requests for proposals (RFP) documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build relationships.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite necessary.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier proposals.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
