Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team and ensure the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to our clients. Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely to patients following healthcare providers' instructions.
  • Provide counseling and advice to patients on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review medication plans for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain patient records to monitor the safety and efficacy of prescribed medications.
  • Educate patients and healthcare staff on drug interactions, side effects, and proper dosage.
  • Stay updated on new developments in the field of pharmacy, including emerging drugs and therapies.
  • Perform routine quality checks and ensure the accuracy of medication packaging and labeling.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies to enhance pharmacy services and patient safety.
  • Report any adverse drug reactions or medication errors according to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Current and valid pharmacist license in the state of employment.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and related software for managing prescriptions.
  • Experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
