Job Description

The Patient Relations Executive is a critical role within the healthcare sector, focusing on bridging the gap between patients and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient satisfaction and service delivery. This position involves managing the interactions and communication with patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring that their healthcare journey is as smooth and satisfactory as possible. As the first point of contact for patients, the Patient Relations Executive is responsible for fostering a positive environment and facilitating the resolution of any issues, thereby enhancing the overall patient experience. The individual in this role will work closely with medical staff and administration, ensuring alignment in objectives and processes, and that patient feedback is appropriately managed and acted upon.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to improve patient satisfaction.
  • Gather and analyze patient feedback to implement service improvements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families.
  • Ensure effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Address and resolve patient complaints in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient support services within various departments.
  • Facilitate patient onboarding and offer guidance through healthcare processes.
  • Monitor the overall patient experience and report findings to management.
  • Assist in developing strategies to enhance patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information.
  • Assist in organizing patient education and outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in patient relations or customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are mandatory for the role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Demonstrate a patient-centric attitude and exemplary service commitment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards at all times.
  • Proficient with patient management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
