Job Description

The Operations Manager in Logistics is a critical role within any supply chain organization. This position involves overseeing the entire logistics and supply chain process to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing teams, optimizing processes, and developing strategies to meet the company's logistical goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. The Operations Manager plays a pivotal part in improving the overall cost-effectiveness and service quality, thereby contributing directly to the organization's bottom line and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations, inventory management, distribution strategies, and customer service.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies for efficient operation management.
  • Manage and lead teams to optimize performance and maximize productivity.
  • Oversee and improve supply chain operations to ensure seamless logistics flow.
  • Monitor logistical metrics and implement process improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to shipping and delivery operations.
  • Coordinate production schedules and distribution activities effectively.
  • Develop reports on logistics performance and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Utilize logistics software to streamline and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure safety protocols are observed across all logistic operations.
  • Liaise with other departments to align logistic strategies with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple operations.
  • Knowledge of compliance with logistics regulations and safety standards.
