Job Description

The Lab Assistant in Pathology plays a critical role in the healthcare industry by aiding pathologists and laboratory scientists in their daily tasks. Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory of lab supplies and report shortages to the supervising pathologist.
  • Label and organize test samples, ensuring proper storage conditions are met.
  • Support pathologists during complex diagnostic procedures and experiments.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to minimize risk of contamination.
  • Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with laboratory best practices and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related scientific field preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a medical or research laboratory environment is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in test results and reporting.
