Job Description

As a Junior Media Buyer, you will be an integral part of the marketing team, working closely with senior media buyers and marketing strategists to plan, execute, and optimize media buying campaigns for a range of clients. Your primary role will be to assist in buying advertisement slots across various media platforms, including digital, print, radio, and television. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn the intricacies of the advertising landscape. You will support the team in creating compelling media strategies, analyzing performance metrics, and managing vendor relationships. Our ideal candidate is passionate about marketing, possesses strong numerical skills, and has a clear understanding of the media buying process.


Responsibilities

  • Assist senior media buyers in planning and executing media buying strategies.
  • Coordinate with marketing and creative teams to align advertisement content with media plans.
  • Conduct research on media channels to determine the most effective platforms for campaigns.
  • Analyze demographic data to target the appropriate audience effectively for advertisements.
  • Monitor advertising trends to identify new opportunities and avenues for media buying.
  • Negotiate with vendors and publishers to secure competitive rates for media slots.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize ongoing media campaigns strategically.
  • Manage and update spreadsheets and databases for maintaining media schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare detailed reports on campaign performance and media spending for management review.
  • Stay updated with industry innovations and suggest improvements to current practices.
  • Assist in preparing presentations for client meetings and internal strategy sessions.
  • Collaborate with brand managers to ensure adherence to branding guidelines in media buys.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of digital, print, radio, and TV media buying practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in data analysis and metric interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills for coordinating with team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with media planning tools and software is considered a plus.
  • Keen interest in staying updated on advertising trends and industry developments.
