Job Description

An HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits Specialist is a crucial role within the human resources department tasked with ensuring that the organization's compensation and benefits programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the overall company strategy. This position involves developing, implementing, and managing benefit programs which attract and retain top talent, while also maintaining equity and fairness in compensation practices. The Specialist must possess a deep understanding of regulatory compliance, market trends, and best practices to ensure that all HR operations are efficient and effective. The role requires collaboration with various departments to develop strategic initiatives that support organizational goals and improve employee satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compensation policies in alignment with market trends.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual compensation review processes with precision.
  • Design benefit programs that meet employee needs and organizational goals.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and equity.
  • Prepare detailed compensation reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate efficiently with employees about changes in benefits and compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to synchronize compensation and benefits procedures.
  • Manage compensation and benefits inquiries from employees and resolve issues.
  • Analyze compensation data to recommend salary adjustments and structures.
  • Coordinate with payroll departments to ensure accurate benefit deductions.
  • Participate in audits and reviews to validate compliance in compensation schemes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in HR operations or compensation and benefits.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in HRIS and related software tools.
  • Thorough understanding of compensation regulations and benefit management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP or CCP is a plus.
