Job Description

A Front Desk Specialist holds an essential role in the hotel and hospitality industry, often serving as the first point of contact for guests, clients, and customers. Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests with a warm, friendly manner upon their arrival.
  • Manage and process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
  • Address guest inquiries, providing them with prompt, accurate responses.
  • Coordinate room reservations and cancellations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain and resolve guest complaints, escalating to management when needed.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Verify guest identification and credit card information upon check-in.
  • Assist with luggage assistance as needed and provide room directions to guests.
  • Keep the reception area tidy and presentable with all necessary materials stocked.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and prompt service.
  • Provide concierge services by recommending local amenities and attractions to guests.
  • Handle cash and card payments, ensuring accuracy in billing and maintaining a cash drawer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with further education in hospitality preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar front desk or customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hotel software systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and attitude necessary to represent the establishment.
