Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Finance Assistant specializing in Accounts Receivable to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers and be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process from billing to collection. You will work closely with finance managers and other departments to ensure accurate reporting and timely receipt of payments. Your role will also involve reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and maintaining comprehensive financial records. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle from invoice issuance to payment collection.
  • Prepare and send invoices, billing statements, and account reconciliations to clients.
  • Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and initiate collection efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer payments, credits, and transactions in financial systems.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve billing inquiries and payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless processing of customer orders and payments.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing accounts receivable activity.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes, ensuring all receivables are accounted for.
  • Perform regular audits of accounts receivables to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support finance manager in developing strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad debts.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting accounts receivable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounts receivable or finance role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports efficiently.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations is essential.
