Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Finance Assistant specializing in Accounts Receivable to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the company’s financial health by ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of accounts receivable transactions. This role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with our clients to secure timely payments. In addition to routine financial tasks, the Finance Assistant will provide critical support in resolving client discrepancies, managing customer files, and generating relevant financial reports. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Process, verify, and post receipts from clients accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain updated records of invoices and receipts for audit purposes.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Communicate with customers via phone or email to secure outstanding payments promptly.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to resolve billing discrepancies swiftly and accurately.
  • Prepare weekly reports on account receivables status and trends for management review.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the timely closing of accounts monthly and annually.
  • Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with company financial policies.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate financial operations.
  • Offer assistance in developing and implementing effective accounts receivable policies.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly with a professional and customer-focused attitude.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounts receivable role required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP, is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
