Job Description

The role of a Factory Production Supervisor involves overseeing and managing production schedules, ensuring efficient and timely production processes, and maintaining a safe working environment within the factory. The individual in this position is responsible for coordinating production activities and resources, ensuring products meet the company's quality standards, and training factory staff to ensure the best practices are employed. A Factory Production Supervisor must have excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a firm knowledge of production management processes. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations ensuring work schedules and targets are met.
  • Coordinate with different departments to streamline operations and address issues promptly.
  • Monitor production lines and manage production staff to ensure productivity.
  • Maintain and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that all products meet the quality standards set by the company.
  • Train and develop production and assembly line workers regularly.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
  • Implement strategies to reduce production costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Resolve operational issues, escalating more severe matters to top management as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance production capabilities.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and functioning properly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members about production targets and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production management processes and lean manufacturing.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures in a factory setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
