Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our organization's buildings and grounds. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our organization's physical infrastructure is well maintained, fully operational, and meets health and safety requirements. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in facilities management, be adept at multi-tasking, and possess exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team of maintenance staff effectively. Additionally, they should be familiar with the latest industry trends and regulations, employing them to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. The Facilities Manager will also act as a liaison between our company and external contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of facilities operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement an emergency preparedness plan and safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for facility operations and capital projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors for maintenance, repairs, and projects.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and failures.
  • Monitor, report, and analyze facilities usage and metrics for efficiency.
  • Manage a team of facility maintenance staff providing direction and support.
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers to optimize costs and quality.
  • Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained to support operational needs.
  • Oversee renovation projects to improve facilities and workplace safety.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of facilities to identify issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in facilities management or similar role.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and codes.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and manage external contractors.
  • Proficient in using computer-aided facilities management and scheduling tools.
