Job Description

The Construction Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position requires not only a deep understanding of construction methods but also the ability to manage multiple teams and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards. The Construction Manager is a key figure in bridging the gap between clients, designers, and construction teams, facilitating communication and ensuring that everyone involved in a project is on the same page. A successful Construction Manager will leverage their extensive industry experience and leadership skills to oversee the entire construction process, from pre-construction planning through to project completion, ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion phase efficiently.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs accurately.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors effectively across all tasks.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance and deadlines set by stakeholders.
  • Manage budgeting, track expenses, and ensure cost-efficiency throughout projects.
  • Ensure all construction processes adhere to legal guidelines and safety standards.
  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance and address issues promptly.
  • Assess potential risks, materials, and environmental impacts of construction projects.
  • Negotiate agreements with external vendors to reach profitable arrangements.
  • Communicate with architects, engineers, and construction teams effectively.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and project progression.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, discrepancies, and unexpected problems efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a construction manager.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Strong familiarity with quality and health and safety standards in construction.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, project management software or similar tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills required.
  • Ability to manage multi-phase projects and ensure effective integration of all tasks.
