As a Chemistry Faculty member, you will have the critical role of inspiring and educating the next generation of chemists, scientists, and informed citizens. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, exams, and practical laboratory work.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects and theses.
  • Engage actively in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and development of academic policies.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay updated with advancements in the field.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and career pathways in chemistry and related fields.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on research projects, publications, and grant proposals.
  • Provide support and resources for students requiring additional help or accommodations.
  • Promote the chemistry department through workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Encourage a culture of inquiry and critical thinking in all classroom and laboratory activities.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in teaching undergraduate or graduate-level chemistry courses effectively.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures and chemical handling protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse student interactions.
  • Ability to mentor and guide students in research projects and academic challenges.
  • Experience in conducting and publishing scientific research in reputable journals.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software for educational and research purposes.
  • High level of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
