Job Description

A Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. They must possess a blend of technical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities to effectively serve both business and technology areas within an organization. As businesses become more data-driven, the role of a Business Analyst is becoming increasingly strategic and important for aligning company processes with industry best practices and achieving business objectives. This position typically involves a variety of tasks from data gathering and analysis, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring that business needs align with technical requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and translate them into functional requirements and actionable insights.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and recommend acquisition of new business processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit and document project requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement business process improvements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and business analysis artifacts.
  • Develop process flows, system diagrams, and functional specifications as necessary.
  • Perform regular reviews and analyses of the business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure all needs are met during project execution.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing reliable data analysis and visualization.
  • Test and validate newly implemented systems to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and provide training support to end-users.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of the field to provide cutting-edge solutions to business challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools and methodologies for requirement gathering.
  • Ability to document complex processes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with project management software and data visualization tools is beneficial.
