Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Executive plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by overseeing the inflow of funds. Primarily focused on ensuring timely payments of invoices, the role is critical for managing cash flow and minimizing the risk of bad debts. This executive works closely with internal teams and clients to resolve queries and discrepancies. As a key player in the finance team, the Accounts Receivable Executive contributes to maintaining accurate financial data and creating reports that aid in decision-making. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies.
  • Evaluate new credit requests and review customers’ credit ratings.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for.
  • Issue timely and accurate invoices, credit notes, and account statements to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system to ensure efficient collection of receivables.
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues promptly and professionally.
  • Track and monitor outstanding balances and initiate follow-up for overdue amounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on account statuses and revenues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and compliance.
  • Identify improvements and propose enhancements to streamline billing processes.
  • Assist in developing strategies to minimize overdue balances and optimize cash flow.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and procedures.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
