Job Description

The Waitress position is a vital role in the hospitality industry, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service within a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive at the dining area.
  • Present menus to guests while making suitable suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen.
  • Serve food and drinks to the guests at appropriate times during their meals.
  • Check in with guests periodically to ensure that their needs are met satisfactorily.
  • Respond to guests’ questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses before service begins.
  • Provide guests with checks after meals and accurately process payments.
  • Collaborate with other waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards to ensure a secure dining environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a waitress or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with guests.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Comfortable working on feet for extended periods and performing physical tasks.
  • Positive, professional attitude and appearance, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
