Job Description

The Supply Chain Executive plays a critical role in overseeing and managing a company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiency and productivity. They focus on establishing supplier partnerships and spearheading efforts to enhance supply chain processes to deliver optimal service levels in line with customer expectations. This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure that all parts of the supply chain are optimally efficient and cost-effective. The Supply Chain Executive collaborates with various departments to balance the company's needs while maintaining high standards of quality and regulatory compliance. Additionally, they are instrumental in introducing innovative solutions and new methodologies to streamline logistics operations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and distributors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee inventory management processes to prevent shortages or excess supply.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and production teams for seamless operations.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify improvement areas.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Maintain compliance with industry and regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Utilize technology and software to streamline supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, and reports for supply chain performance analysis.
  • Evaluate and manage risks along the supply chain, implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Optimize transportation, distribution, and warehousing processes for cost-effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years experience in supply chain or logistics roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain software tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with supply chain optimization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements is a must.
