Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients who are experiencing acute and critical illnesses or injuries. As a Staff Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat patients, ensuring they receive immediate attention and compassionate care. The position requires excellent clinical interaction skills, quick decision-making abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure. Responsibilities

  • Assess, prioritize, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions.
  • Perform triage assessments to determine urgency and prioritize patient treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare personnel to formulate care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring precise documentation of care.
  • Utilize advanced life support techniques when necessary during emergency situations.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families in distress.
  • Employ critical thinking to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and efficiently communicate updates to the team.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions and procedures in understandable terms.
  • Stay current with best practices in emergency nursing and pursue continuous professional development.
  • Participate in emergency simulations and staff training sessions to enhance response skills.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and ethical nursing practices.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current and valid nursing license.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an emergency or critical care setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
