Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. As a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality emergency care to patients in critical and life-threatening situations. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Responsibilities

  • Perform initial patient assessments and triage to prioritize care based on the severity of conditions.
  • Assist doctors in emergency procedures, ensuring all equipment is prepared and sterile.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with medical team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with protocols, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their family members during stressful times.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Manage equipment inventory and request necessary supplies for the emergency department.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, demonstrating exceptional decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or relevant experience, is highly recommended.
  • Minimum of two years experience in an emergency room or critical care setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during high-pressure and emergency situations.
