Job Description

The Contracts Administrator plays an essential role in the procurement and management of contracts within an organization. This role involves negotiating terms, coordinating contract execution, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for maintaining detailed and organized records of agreements and communicating important information between stakeholders. Successful candidates for this position will have a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. They must be comfortable working with legal documents and have a strong focus on contract management best practices. Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex contracts are critical, as is the ability to build positive working relationships both internally and externally.


Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and edit contracts according to company policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely contract delivery.
  • Maintain a centralized database of all contracts and agreements accurately updated.
  • Monitor contract performance, identifying any potential risks or discrepancies promptly.
  • Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing with vendors and stakeholders effectively.
  • Prepare and manage vendor and supplier agreements, ensuring adherence to terms.
  • Facilitate communication between parties involved in contract negotiation and execution.
  • Manage contract amendments, renewals, and terminations in compliance with policies.
  • Ensure all contractual documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and assist company personnel on contract-related issues and contract management.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel to address any specific legal issues concerning contracts.
  • Assist in the improvement of contract processes and implement efficiency measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in contract administration or relevant role.
  • Strong understanding of contract management software and systems is essential.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with proven experience in contract negotiations.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational abilities are mandatory.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
