Job Description

The Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales role combines technical expertise with sales skills to provide comprehensive support to the sales team. This position focuses on engaging new customers and maintaining relationships with existing clients by delivering presentations, demonstrations, and providing solution proposals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the technological aspects of our products and services and the ability to convey the benefits and technical specifications to potential customers. Responsiveness, customer service skills, and the ability to translate customer requirements into meaningful product solutions are essential traits. The Sales Engineer collaborates closely with the sales and development teams to ensure customer needs are met and proposals are in line with company capabilities.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
  • Develop and conduct product demonstrations and presentations for potential clients.
  • Customize product solutions to meet specific customer needs and requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers during the sales process to enhance sales outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation and proposals tailored to customer requirements.
  • Manage and respond to the technical aspects of RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
  • Collaborate with product development teams to relay customer feedback and improve product features.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues in field implementations for prospective clients.
  • Participate in trade shows and other promotional events to showcase products and services.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Stay updated with competitor products and solutions to effectively position our offerings.
  • Support post-sales activities by providing training and technical assistance to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles with documented success.
  • Strong understanding of technical components and their applications in customer solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales management systems preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and attend industry events.
