Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team with your technical expertise and product knowledge to close sales opportunities effectively. You will act as the bridge between our sales team and engineering department, ensuring that customer requirements are accurately communicated. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills and strong technical acumen in order to articulate the features and benefits of our products to our clients. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings and presentations.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of product features and benefits to prospective clients.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and sales staff.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop strategic sales approaches.
  • Consult with customers to identify their needs and propose suitable products or solutions.
  • Develop and present technical proposals that align with client requirements effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales proposals and the negotiation of contracts.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and product developments to stay competitive.
  • Coordinate with product management to relay customer feedback and insights from the field.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences to showcase company products and services.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on customer interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the relevant field or industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience using CRM software and sales tracking systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
