Job Description

A Preschool Teacher is a dedicated and nurturing professional responsible for the early development and learning of young children aged three to five years. This role requires patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to create a safe and engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Preschool Teachers play a crucial role in early childhood education, laying the foundation for a child's future academic and social success. They design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, assess children's needs, and foster a supportive classroom atmosphere. By encouraging play-based learning and promoting social and emotional development, Preschool Teachers help children develop essential life skills and a love for learning.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students in the classroom.
  • Encourage children to develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills through play-based learning.
  • Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom with appropriate learning materials.
  • Facilitate individual and group activities that promote teamwork and cooperation among students.
  • Incorporate storytelling, art, music, and other creative activities into daily lessons.
  • Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to resolve conflicts or provide support.
  • Ensure that all health, safety, and educational standards are upheld in the preschool setting.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support a cohesive educational environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • State certification or licensure for teaching preschool-aged children is required.
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children and parents.
  • Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • Demonstrated patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with preschoolers.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain these certifications upon hire.
