Job Description

As a Pre School Teacher, you will play a critical role in the early stages of a child's educational journey, working within a nurturing and creative environment to stimulate young minds. Your goal will be to foster a supportive and safe classroom for preschool-aged children, laying the groundwork for lifelong love of learning. You will create educational experiences that pique curiosity, encourage exploration, and promote developmental milestones including fine motor skills, social interaction, and critical thinking. Collaboration with fellow teachers, aides, and parents is crucial, ensuring a rounded educational experience that meets each child’s unique needs and fuels their enthusiasm for discovery and adventure in learning.


Responsibilities

  • Create and implement educational activities that promote early developmental milestones.
  • Develop lesson plans catered to the diverse learning needs of preschool students.
  • Facilitate a classroom environment that encourages positive social interactions.
  • Employ varied teaching methods to effectively communicate educational concepts.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, reporting to parents and staff regularly.
  • Implement behavioral management strategies to address individual student needs.
  • Organize and maintain the classroom space to be welcoming and functional.
  • Coordinate with teaching assistants and volunteers to support classroom activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
  • Prepare and distribute snack times aligned with nutritional standards.
  • Ensure student safety through diligent supervision and adherence to procedures.
  • Facilitate parent-teacher meetings for discussing student development and concerns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Valid teaching credential or license pertinent to Early Childhood Education.
  • Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Creative and adaptable teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to manage a classroom environment and maintain student engagement.
  • Basic understanding of child psychology and developmental benchmarks.
