We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will conduct and oversee laboratory experiments, analyze microbial samples, and contribute to innovative research projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in microbiology, with experience in handling microbial cultures, fermentations, and molecular biology techniques. They must be proficient in both independent work and within teamwork settings, demonstrating excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail. The position requires effective communication to present research findings clearly to both scientific and non-scientific audiences. With a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency, the Microbiologist will play a critical role in advancing our research and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bacterial, viral, and fungal culture experiments using sterile techniques.
• Analyze microbial growth results and interpret culturing data accurately for reports.
• Develop new microbiological test methods and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support product development projects.
• Monitor laboratory supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Prepare technical documentation and present findings to research and development teams.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all laboratory safety guidelines.
• Perform quality control tests and validate microbiological processes as required.
• Assist in the training and mentorship of new laboratory staff and interns.
• Ensure compliance with national and international laboratory accreditation standards.
• Conduct research to optimize fermentation processes and increase yield efficiencies.
• Utilize bioinformatics tools to analyze genetic material and microbial genomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field, with experience in laboratory work.
• Strong understanding and experience with microbial cultures and fermentation processes.
• Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including PCR and DNA sequencing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in interpreting scientific data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for research presentation and documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining and following laboratory safety standards and protocols.
