Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is a pivotal role within our company’s supply chain operations, tasked with streamlining every element associated with the transportation and distribution of goods. The ideal candidate will possess superior organizational skills and have a proven ability to manage the movement of goods efficiently and effectively. This position focuses on overseeing customer communications, tracking shipping schedules, and ensuring that goods flow smoothly from origin to final delivery. A profound knowledge of shipping regulations and logistics best practices is essential for this role. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be expected to work closely with vendors, clients, and internal teams to foster a collaborative and solution-oriented working environment.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Collaborate with various departments to optimize logistics procedures and services.
  • Develop logistic plans, and analyze reports to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain updated records of logistics activities and provide regular reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to solve logistics problems.
  • Organize and manage daily activities including shipment tracking and documentation.
  • Plan and track shipments, evaluating shipping services for cost and strategy.
  • Use transportation management systems to track shipments and freight movements.
  • Handle incoming customer service queries and provide needed logistical support.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to achieve greater efficiency in operations.
  • Collaborate with IT departments to integrate logistics software with other systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a related logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain principles, and industry regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.
